Hello friends, my name is Jessie and I have had the privilege of serving with the STS ministry for almost 2 years now. I’ve also had the privilege of walking through the healing process offered through this ministry into a life of freedom from the heartbreak of abortion. I so want to share this message of healing and freedom with others and I hope to do that through this blog page. For today, I thought I would revive the STS blog page with a glimpse of what abortion healing looks like…
As a woman with abortion in her past (multiple abortions to be exact), there is much of the Samaritan woman’s story that I can relate to. In the same way the Jewish people refused to have anything to do with the Samaritans, I had become convinced that God refused to have anything to do with me. Surely not after the sins I’d committed.
In my shame, I hid, tried to avoid the crowd, and remain unnoticed.
But when I least expected it, Jesus showed up.
It seemed strange at first…surprising even.
“But God doesn’t associate with those who’ve committed abortion.”
“If only you knew the gift I have for you daughter, you would ask Me, and I would give you Living Water.”
So, that’s exactly what I did.
Jesus pursued ME into that place of sin and heartache. The darkness in my heart didn’t prevent Him from drawing near. He offered freedom in exchange for shame, and when it was all said and done, I ran as fast as I could, straight into the crowd shouting…
“I met a Man who knows everything I’ve ever done!”
“I’ve met the Messiah!”
“And He set me F R E E !”
