Since Surrendering the Secret was first published by Lifeway, over 6,000 leaders around the world have been trained to guide women, men, and couples toward healing after abortion. Today, we actively support a growing network of more than 1200 leaders through a private community with free resources, daily support, and ongoing training.
With the end of Roe v. Wade, the local church has more opportunity than ever to become a beacon of healing and truth in its community. But we can’t do this alone.

What We Do
Surrendering the Secret is a DBA of Life Impact Network a 501(c)3 NOT FOR PROFIT Ministry founded by Pat Layton in 1986 as a full-service crisis pregnancy intervention ministry. Under Pat’s leadership, over a 30 plus year journey, LIN grew exponentially into a multi-focused international ministry that included a pregnancy resources center (A Woman’s Place Medical Center in Tampa, Florida); Surrendering the Secret (STS) a post-abortion recovery outreach; a speaking and training ministry; an adoption agency and an abstinence education program. In 2014 Pat redirected all crisis pregnancy intervention services of Life Impact Network and focused her efforts entirely on speaking, writing and expanding the international impact of STS. Life Impact Network continues to be led by Founder, President, and Author Pat Layton and is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors and a volunteer National Leadership Team.

Surrendering the Secret is a study designed to bring women, men and couples together who understand the need for seeking peace with the past and desire a better understanding of God’s plan for making the most painful losses of our past work for His glory! Our mission is to provide a supportive and confidential environment that facilitates healing and restoration from a past abortion and bringing a sense of hope and purpose for the future.
